Tips for the man with his own yard!
A bachelor pad is a man’s castle, kingdom and home. A place where he finds comfort, solace and can truly express who he is. However, your home is also a place where you invite guests and for most single men, that often means having a woman or women round for company. It's therefore important that your pad is a good representation of you and that your guests won't run a mile in disgust:
CLEAN/TIDY
Your pad should be inviting and like you, should be clean, well presented and smell nice! Invest in some good cleaning products to ensure that your home is in tip top shape – no one wants to see mucky stains, grease and dirt – both on you and your surfaces. The biggest turn offs are dirty sheets, kitchen, bathroom and toilet. So always make sure your sheets are clean, your plates are washed and the toilet and bathroom are sparkling. It's also a good idea to invest in a tin of air-fresher. Some of that fabric freshener is also handy for those moments when time is against you!
ENTERTAINMENT
Apart from the obvious, what are you planning to do with your guest? And apart from that, what are you going to be doing when you're at home alone? Bingo! A plasma TV, with surround sound, with a top of the range music system are key! No home is complete without HD telly for sports, gaming and movies and how can you fully enjoy your music without a stereo that can seriously pump out them tunes? Careful not to upset the neighbours!
FINE DINING
It's simple; just keep your fridge and cupboard stacked as you don't want to get hungry in your own home. Always have the essentials such as tin food, cereals, rice, pasta and freezer food! When it comes to guests, women are always impressed by a bit of effort. Offering her something to eat, rather than leaving her to go hungry, will definitely give you an edge. And with good food comes drink! For you, it's whatever you fancy – however, we at Pulse would suggest water - but for your guest, wine is usually a safer option. With so much variety it's often hard for the 'Average Joe' to know what type to pick. Our suggestion is to go with something mid-range (not too cheap and not too expensive). Unless you already know what she likes, go for a bottle of red, white and rose – (you know, the three for £10 deals) One more thing, remember wine glasses. Giving her a mug will make you look like, well, a mug...
REMEMBER, REMEMBER, REMEMBER!
Toilet paper! You got a woman in your yard; you need to have toilet paper! Actually, scrap that, even if you haven't got a woman in your yard, you need to have toilet paper! And do we need to remind you to have condoms at the ready?!
