BLACK EYED PEAS BREAK RECORD

The hit single 'I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas' has broken UK sales records by becoming the first ever single to be downloaded more than 1 million times

The up beat track which was first released on 8th June 2009, spent 33 weeks in the top 40 two of which were at number one. The track was the second single released from their album entitled The E.N.D.
The sales are a huge achievement for Black Eyed Peas and singer Fergie is quoted as saying: "Hopefully the good vibes from that song will continue to brighten people's lives."
Downloading is an easy and convenient way for people to buy music, and has come a long way since 2005, when download singles were first added to the official UK singles chart. A staggering 98% of all single sales are now downloaded.
