PRINCE TO RECEIVE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD AT BET AWARDS

This year the BET awards will be celebrating their 10th year anniversary and will pay homage to pop icon Prince
Prince 51, who has been in the music industry for over three decades is best known for hits such as 'Purple Rain' 'When Doves Cry' and Bat Dance.
The well renowned pop star will be in good company once he receives this prestigious award, joining the likes of Diana Ross, James Brown, Whitney Houston, and Al Green.
BET's President of Programming, Music and Specials Stephen G. Hill said: "We are humbled that Prince will be our lifetime achievement award recipient,"
The awards will take place on 27th June at the Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium and will be hosted by Queen Latifah.
