Spain were cheered on by excited fans following their World Cup victory over Holland
Around one million Spanish fans cheered their champions as they arrived home in Madrid yesterday. On Sunday the world witnessed Spain make history by securing a 1-0 win over Holland.
After winning the Euro Cup in 2008, players and fans are overjoyed, having secured their first ever World Cup trophy in history.
The World Cup tournament has been a chance for South Africa to shine, and has helped promote unity and peace across the entire nation. Former South African President Nelson Mandela was present at Sundays closing ceremony.
